Ubatec is a member of the consortium of UNaLab project (Urban Nature Lab) funded by the European Union as part of Horizon 2020 program.
The purpose of the project is to develop a solid test basis and a european framework of innovative solutions based on the nature to improve resilience in the face of the climatic change and the urban development. It aims at implementing the NBS validation (Nature-based solutions for its English acronym) in three European Lab countries: Eindhoven (Holland), Genoa (Italy) and Tampere (Finland).
Likewise, we have institutions in five other european cities: Stavanger, Praga, Castellón, Cannes, Basaksehir and two cities that are not european, namely Hong Kong and Buenos Aires.
The coordinator of this project is VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, one of the most outstanding centers of research in Europe due to their results and innovating services and their experience in the development of intelligent technology.
UBATEC participates in activities that include from the design of training sessions and workshops to the development of investments strategies and business models, aiming at developing road maps applying NBS in our cities.
